The Bankers Box is an iconic piece of vintage pop culture that to my knowledge has only ever been made from cardboard printed with the most luxurious woods. I’ve been thinking about this piece for years and finally decided to go for it. The box is full size and fits file folders or loose papers or anything one wants. It’s made from choice veneers from around the world, Pau Ferro, Fiddleback European Sycamore, Ebony, Mahogany and an unknown black/purple veneer.

Banker Box will be on exhibit at The Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanships “Free Verse: Explorations is Contemporary Marquetry,” featuring 24 leading marquetarians curated by Jim Macdonald, that will open in January of 2025 and run through early-April.
