This new Ferrazzutti jointer/shooting plane is solid Claro Walnut that was sold as a riffle blank, the same blank as #1 but the grain is not as dramatic but still very nice. It’s combined with a Box Wood sole, cross pin and wedge. It is signed and is the fourth in an up coming series of unique shooting planes. The plane is 1-7/8’’ x 1-7/8’’ x 14’’ long and comes with a fully sharpened O1 steel Hock 1-1/4’’ iron and breaker. The narrow design is well suited for edging boards and removing machine marks prior to edge gluing. It is also very effective used on it’s side for shooting veneers for flawless joints. The angular shape and tapering facets not only add interest and style they make the plane feel nice in the hands. It’s actually hard to describe how awesome this plane feels in the hands.
