This new Ferrazzutti jointer/shooting plane is solid Macassar Ebony with a Mediterranean Boxwood sole. It is signed and numbered #001 in an up coming series of unique shooting planes. The plane is 1-7/8’’ x 1-7/8’’ x 14’’ long and comes with a fully sharpened Hock 1-1/4’’ iron and breaker. The narrow design is well suited for edging boards and removing machine marks prior to edge gluing. It is also very effective used on it’s side for shooting veneers for flawless joints. The angular shape and tapering facets not only add interest and style they make the plane feel nice in the hands. It’s actually hard to describe how awesome this plane feels in the hands. The ebony has 3 small pin holes on the nose they appeared after shaping and have been filled, they do not effect he function of the plane.
