Made from Snakewood and brass. Snakewood is a very challenging wood to work with and the yields from raw form are quite low. This species is one of the hardest and most luxurious of all the woods. It’s highly prized for its rare snake skin figure but it doesn’t alway appear once you cut into the log. This set is fairly calm as far as figure goes but still has nice subtle grain patterns. These sticks operate using a finely hand fit sliding dovetail and they lock in place with the brass thumb screw.

The sticks are used primarily to measure and compare opposite diagonal dimensions during glue up to determine the object is square. Perfect for boxes, drawers and small cabinets, you’ll find a multitude of uses for them around the shop.
